Program Overview
"... Jesus increased in wisdom (in broad and full understanding) and in stature and years, and in favor with God and man" Luke 2:52, Amplified
The Believer’s Education Team has organized the Summer DevelopmentProgram in an effort to encourage personal growth in students ages 6 to
18. Students spend the majority of their year learning the curriculum
ascribed to them by their teachers. Summer break offers students the time
to focus their learning in areas specific to who God made them to be. The
Believer’s Education team is providing weekly incentives for targeted learning
this summer.
How the
Program Works
Students thoughtfully complete and turn in an entry form,
answering questions about school subjects, interests, challenges, and career
goals. They then participate in and complete activities that are developing
them in some way. Development activities include, but are not limited to
reading a book, completing a math workbook, taking an art class, going to
a museum, learning to cook, learning to sew, attending a summer learning camp,
participating in a swimming competition, etc. Upon completion of an
activity, students then fill out a Summer Development Reporting Form and turn
it in to a Believer’s Education team member. Weekly prizes will be
given to students turning in reports on completed activities.
Grand
Prize Winner
A prize valued at $100 will be awarded to the student who spent
the most time developing their area of challenge, career goal, and interest.
The Believer’s Education Team will determine the grand prize winner based
on the original entry form answers and the variety of completed reporting forms
the student turned in.
