Parenting by the Word is a class of instruction on how to train children according to the Word of God. The Word teaches us the ‘why’ and ‘how’ of training children so that we can “train up a child in the way he should go…” and know that he will “increase in wisdom and stature and in favor with God and man”.

This class is not only for parents. It is full of practical information that is helpful for children's’ workers, Sunday School teachers, grandparents and anyone who spends a lot of time with children.

Jo Willis is a very gifted and talented speaker/teacher. In her early years, she worked extensively with children in churches, coordinating their Vacation Bible School programs. She has two grown children and three grandchildren. She has a heart for children and for parents,to see them succeed in God’s calling on their lives.

She is full of practical information from her own experience as well as many hours of study in and teaching from the Word of God on the subjects of Parenting and Marriage and the Family. She is on staff at House of the Lord Fellowship Church, serves in the Praise Team and works in many other areas of ministry. “Mama Jo” as she is affectionately known by those who know her well, will truly bless you with her insights into the Word of God.

Richard and Michelle Sanders have been on staff at House of the Lord since 1994. They have been married for over 20 years and have three school-age children. Michelle homeschools their two youngest children and homeschooled their oldest daughter for six years.

They are fervent in their desire to train their children, and help others train their own children, according to the Word of God. They strongly believe that training children in the way they should go is a key responsibility for parents, a necessity for the success of children, and vitally important to the Kingdom of God.
